County Carlow has much to offer given its location proximate to Dublin its rural landscapes, mountains, rivers, tranquil countryside all supported by rural towns and villages. The County has considerable untapped tourism potential which can be supported with policies for the sustainable development of the industry and economic activity generation.
It is an objective of the Council to
- Support the implementation of the County Carlow Tourism and Action Plan 2020-2025, and any updated version of the Strategy and Action Plan.
- Support the Tourism Sector in the County in terms of the key actions in the inCarlow Business Support & Economic Recovery Action Plan 2020, the Local Enterprise Development Plan (LEDP), and any subsequent revisions of these documents.
