Pan Celtic

The International Pan Celtic Festival is a celebration of the Celtic cultures of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Brittany, Isle of Man and Cornwall in music, song, dance, languages, costumes, sport and story. This year's festival has an exciting programme of events to keep everyone entertained, including street performances, a parade, live music and competitions.

Musicians and choirs, singers and dancers, bands and storytellers from the participating Celtic nations will come together to share their language and culture at this great family-friendly Easter event. 

Tullow Street Streetfest Puppets

This April, Carlow’s Lower Tullow Street will pulsate with the vibrant rhythm of Streetfest – a dynamic series of family-friendly street events designed to celebrate our community spirit, culture, and the richness of our local businesses. More than just an event, Streetfest represents a movement to bolster our local economy while indulging in the finest offerings Carlow has to offer.

Quintessentially Irish Woman in Green Dress

The Irish Film premier of QUINTESSENTIALLY IRISH – will take place on 21st April 2024 at 7.30 pm – in VISUAL Carlow, preceded by Wine & Whiskey Reception .

Town Centre First Barge River
Tuesday, 23rd April 2024, 4.30pm to 7.30pm

The Minister for Rural and Community Development has approved an allocation of €30,000 to complete a Town Centre First Plan for Muinebheag, Co. Carlow.  Town Centre First aims to create town centres that function as viable, vibrant and attractive locations for people to live, work and visit, while also functioning as the service, social, cultural and recreational hub for the local community.

A Drop-in Drop-out information session will be held in

McGrath Hall on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 between 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.

Bike Week
Saturday, 11th May 2024, 3.03pm to Thursday, 19th September 2024, 3.03pm

Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of all that’s great about bikes and cycling. From free bike checks to fun cycles, heritage cycles, electric bike races, school cycling events, bike festivals and road races there’s lots to enjoy during Bike Week in Carlow. There is something for every age and ability.
