Genealogy Service
We offer a genealogist service at this branch on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment only. The appointment is available free of charge for the first 30 minutes of the first meeting. Additional appointments will incur a charge of €20 per hour. The genealogist will facilitate and assist with genealogy queries, guide people in their searches, and inform people of sources both free and those that have a fee. The Genealogist does not have the resources to undertake in-depth research for individuals.
Application for Information
It is very important to give as much information about the ancestor as possible, to assist the genealogist with the research. An application form is available from the website; please fill in this form prior to your appointment with the genealogist.

Additional Time with Genealogist (Fee Paying)
For those clients who may need additional time with the Genealogist or further research carried out, (fee charged) the application will be assessed and a report will be given, showing what records were searched, whether any relevant records were located for your family and what the charge will be for the additional research. We would like to point out that success cannot be guaranteed in any search; however we will also try to advise people on how they might further pursue research.
