How to Join the Library


All applicants over 18 must provide proof of address and photo id i.e. a bank statement, driver licence etc.

An annual charge of €10 applies to all working adults.

Student membership is free but a valid student photo id and proof of home address must be presented.

Free membership for persons in receipt of Social Welfare, must provide proof in the form of a social welfare receipt or book.

Free membership for senior citizens, a valid bus pass or pension book is sufficient as proof.

Free membership for persons under-18 a parent or guardian must be present at the time of application as signature is required for under-18 membership.

How many items can you borrow!!

Once joined adults and children over 14 can borrow 6 items.
Children under 14 years can borrow 4 items.

How long can i borrow items for?

All materials can be borrowed for 3 weeks, this period may be extended if the item is not requested by another borrower, either in person, by phone or on-line (using Pin number request this from your library).

If you are late returning, fines will be incurred 10c per week an item is overdue. But this can be avoided by using the free text messaging service we offer which reminds you to renew your books!!
