SUMMARY:The Dresser Project Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Come in and have a look at the striking images as a result of the Dresser Project by Michael Fortune. The exhibition will run from May 2nd to June 1st with an official launch and artists talk on May 18th at 1:30pm. All are very welcome.\n\nSome background to the project:\n\nThe Dresser Project is a new body of work being conducted by artist Michael Fortune for the 2016 Bealtaine Festival in Counties Mayo\, Waterford\, Carlow and Tipperary. Over the coming months Michael will travel each county documenting their particular dressers through a combination of photography\, film and story.\n\nThe foundation for the artists particular interest in this subject stems from his own recently deceased 103-year-old grandmother’s dresser. Michael is interested in how these constantly evolving and ever changing displays reflect the experiences\, lives and values of their keepers.\n\nOver the course of his work Michael hopes to document fifteen dressers per county. If you know of any dressers or maybe have one yourself or in your own family\, Michael would love to talk to you.
