DESCRIPTION:Creative Ireland Event: PenFest 2017\n\nSelf-Discovery Through Poetry with Carol Boland\n\nPoetry therapy is the use of poems for therapeutic purposes\, for self-discovery and personal development.  Join us on an exploration of the self\, with the help of selected poems\, in this three hour poetry therapy session. Carol will select suitable poems and a process of discussion and writing will follow\, through the use of various prompts. Although each participant engages in writing\, their pieces are not critiqued.\n\nDiscover your natural talent for writing poetry when you connect to your inner self.  All those interested in poetry and how it relates to self-awareness and so change\, are welcome to attend.\n\nCarol Boland is a qualified Poetry Therapy Practitioner (PTP) with iaPOETRY. A performance poet and published writer\, she is also chair of Irish Poetry Therapy Network.
