Christmas Card Competition
Bagenalstown Library and Borris Library will be holding a Christmas card competition again this year. Get out the pencils, crayons, glitter and glue to create your impression of Christmas time. Categories are: 4-7 yrs and 8-12 years Card size should be A4 and can be done in any medium. Entries to be left into Bagenalstown or Borris Library on or before Friday, December 11th.

We are aiming to foster and support the love of reading in younger children and have plenty of fun doing it. Carlow Library Service are delighted to host the The Barrow Valley Group of Painters Annual Christmas Exhibition. Established in 1973,the group is based in Carlow and consists of 34 artists who work in studio and en plein air producing work in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastels and mixed media. Since its foundation, the group has exhibited annually showcasing new work. Other exhibitions are held during The Carlow Arts Festival, Éigse and in VISUAL. Carlow Library Service are delighted to partner once again, with the wonderfully talented song and story houses around the County, to bring you a Christmas special event. We will be opening the doors that evening to all who want to call and hear the rousing renditions and seasonal songs that will fill our library from 7pm until 9pm.
