Pan Celtic

The International Pan Celtic Festival is a celebration of the Celtic cultures of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Brittany, Isle of Man and Cornwall in music, song, dance, languages, costumes, sport and story. This year's festival has an exciting programme of events to keep everyone entertained, including street performances, a parade, live music and competitions.

Musicians and choirs, singers and dancers, bands and storytellers from the participating Celtic nations will come together to share their language and culture at this great family-friendly Easter event.

This April, Carlow’s Lower Tullow Street will pulsate with the vibrant rhythm of Streetfest – a dynamic series of family-friendly street events designed to celebrate our community spirit, culture, and the richness of our local businesses. More than just an event, Streetfest represents a movement to bolster our local economy while indulging in the finest offerings Carlow has to offer.

Bike Week

Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of all that’s great about bikes and cycling. From free bike checks to fun cycles, heritage cycles, electric bike races, school cycling events, bike festivals and road races there’s lots to enjoy during Bike Week in Carlow. Gordon Bennett Classic Road Run
Friday, 31st May 2024, 4.49pm to Monday, 3rd June 2024, 4.49pm

This four-day event and fun run takes place over the June Bank Holiday covering the counties of Laois, Carlow and Kildare, all three of which were chosen for the original 1903 race. This historic route offers visitors many interesting and scenic locations in the region, while celebrating and discovering, “The Race that saved Motor Sport”.
