Carlow Libraries supporting Business and Employment

Carlow County Library Service is participating in a new national pilot project offering business and employment support services at Carlow Central Library. Carlow County Library Service operates four service points in Carlow Town, Borris, Bagenalstown and Tullow libraries and we offer the following services:

In the Library: From Anywhere:
  • extensive collection of business & employment related titles
  • online selection of business & employment related eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • public computers with Internet, Microsoft Office and WiFi access
  • search online library catalogue & view your member account
  • current and archived newspaper collection
  • online selection of eMagazines with Zinio
  • Driver Theory Test CD including car, bus and truck theory
  • send prints from your home or business and collect in Carlow Library
  • computer classes for beginners
  • online learning and services with access to over 500 eLearning courses
  • CV, invoice, receipt, gift certificate and letter templates on all our PCs
  • eLanguage learning with 80 languages available

Vision-net is now available, free of charge, to all Members of Carlow Libraries. To access the service you need to click on the link below and log in using your library card number. Vision-net is an internet based service which gives you immediate online access to information on every Irish and UK company registered. Vision-net.ie provides you with immediate online access to the original documents that companies have filed in the Companies Registration Office. By scrolling through a report you can click on any C.R.O document (filed since 1998) and a scanned image of the actual filed document will appear on your screen which you can then print, view or save.
